Heat Treatable Alloys
United Aluminum can supply heat treatable aluminum alloys - 6061, 2024 and 7075 - in the annealed condition. These alloys allow complex parts to be strengthened after forming.
Do you really need to heat treat?
Some of our cold-rolled alloys achieve strength levels greater than 6061-T4 and 6061-T6 so sometimes the complexity, variability and expense of heat treatment can be avoided. Contact our metallurgists at United Aluminum who can suggest alternatives to 6061-T4 and 6061-T6.
