New Y300 (pat. pend.) aluminum fin strip
produces tougher, stronger fins! |
Same alloy as you currently use
If your drawings currently specify aluminum alloys such as 1100, 1200, 1050, or 1060 you don’t need to change the specifications. We can apply the Y300 process to any of these alloys – but your fins will be stiffer and more
resistant to damage. |
No change to the heat-transfer characteristics
We induce the stiffness by changing the grain structure of the metal – the chemical composition is unchanged from your familiar alloy. Therefore the thermal conductivity remains the same so there is no risk when you change
to Y300. |
